The College playoff selection is a mess! There are probably eight teams that deserve a shot to play in a playoff. Unfortunately, teams that deserve to get in will not. The sad part of this is will the committee pick the four teams they think deserve to be in, or will they sway to the side of what will draw the best television ratings? I think we already know the answer to that question. I am not predicting who I think will be selected but who I believe should be in this year’s playoffs. I know some of you will call me stupid and some will agree, either way, I am fine with that.

). Alabama Crimson Tide- My only question about the Tide is that they have not even played a top 10 team outside of USC this year. We all know the USC team they played is not the team that shows up in the rankings now. The Tide will be prohibitive favorites against anybody they play, and we know they are well coached.

). Ohio State Buckeyes- I know they did not even play in the Big Ten title game, but they did beat 3 top ten teams during the season. I have a question about the QB position for the Buckeyes. To beat the teams in the final four, the Buckeyes will have to be able to throw the ball down the field; That has not been a strong point for them this year.

). Washington Huskies- This is a complete team on both sides of the ball. After watching them this year, they can line up and play smash-mouth football, or they can beat you through the air.

). Clemson Tigers- Have played to the level of their competition all year and did once again against Virginia Tech. They have no defense whatsoever and have no wins over teams in the top 10. I do not know why more people do not question this teams resume. I have them end because the one loss to Pitt does not look so bad now. Pitt also beat Penn State and will finish ranked. Clemson’s offense give them a shot against anybody.

). Penn State Nittany Lions- I know they were the Big Ten champions, and have won 8 straight games. It is still hard to get past the 49-10 beating Michigan gave them in the big house. If they could have played and beat Ohio State or Michigan in the Big Ten title game, I would have them in. Playing Wisconsin hurt because the Badger were the fourth-best team in the Big Ten and the Badgers did not beat a team that will end the season ranked in the top 20.

). Michigan Wolverines- I know I am crazy, but they lost the last two games they played. Through on top that the fact their offense is not very good and I think they deserve this ranking.

). Oklahoma Sooners- They were done in by early season losses at Houston and home against Ohio State.

). USC Trojans- The hottest team in college football, unfortunately, they did not play well early in this season. If they are in the Rose Bowl, they will make a Big Ten team pay.

). Western Michigan Broncos- They are undefeated, beat two lower level Big Ten teams and a good Toledo team. We will see how good they are on New Year’s Day.

). Wisconsin Badgers- Solid defensive team, but as they displayed against Penn State they are not good against the pass.

). Florida State Seminoles- Started out slow, but were playing very well at the end of the season.

). Colorado Buffaloes- Had a great season out of nowhere.

). West Virginia Mountaineers- Like Colorado surprised everybody with a great season.

). Oklahoma State

). Stanford Cardinal

). Auburn Tigers

). Louisville Cardinals

). Temple Owls

). San Diego State

). South Florida Bulls

). Pittsburgh Panthers

). Iowa Hawkeyes

). LSU Tigers

). Virginia Tech Hokies

). Washington State Cougars
