Very good 6-2 record last week raises my season record to 59-41 against the spread for the season.

No. 15 North Carolina (-11) vs. Duke

WhenThursday, 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)

North Carolina has been up and down most of the season. Some weeks they look like a top ten team, other weeks they make you wonder why they are ranked. Duke played Louisville tough and beat Notre Dame. They have trouble stopping the run and that will hurt them in this game.

Pick: Tar Heels (-11)

No. 13 Utah (-5.5) vs. Arizona State

WhenThursday, 9:30 p.m. ET (Fox Sports 1)

Arizona State has battled injuries and may be without versatile weapon, Tim White. Utah, on the other hand, is a very good football team that seems to always do just enough to win the game.

Pick: Utah (-5.5)

Boston College vs. No. 20 Florida State (-21)

WhenFriday, 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN2)

Boston College is a team that will either play great and keep the game close, or they will get bludgeoned by 50. The Eagles are very good against the run and I’m leaning towards them covering the spread in this one.

Pick: Boston College (+21)

Mississippi State vs. No. 1 Alabama (-29)

WhenSaturday, noon ET (ESPN)

Ask Texas A&M if they Bama should take the Bulldogs lightly? Bama has way too much talent for this game to be competitive. I think the Bulldogs will do enough to cover the spread.

Pick: Miss.State (+29)

No. 25 Baylor vs. No. 9 Oklahoma (-14.5)

WhenSaturday, noon ET (ABC/ESPN2)

Which Baylor team shows up? Can they stop QB Baker Mayfield? I don’t know which Baylor team shows up, but even if it’s the good when Mayfield will shred them.

Pick: Oklahoma (-14.5)

No. 11 West Virginia vs. Texas (-1.5)

WhenSaturday, noon ET

D’Onta Foreman must be contained if the Mountaineers are to win this game. I do not think they will, so I am going with Texas.

Pick: Texas (-1.5)

South Carolina vs. No. 22 Florida (-14)

WhenSaturday, noon ET (CBS)

I think Florida wins this game, but it will be an ugly win.

Pick: South Carolina (+14)

Pitt vs. No. 2 Clemson (-20)

WhenSaturday, 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC)

Clemson has struggled at times this year, even at home. I think they win the game, but a tough Pitt team covers.

Pick: Pitt (+20)

No. 6 Ohio State (-27.5) vs. Maryland

When: Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)

It was only a matter of time until the Buckeyes put it all together. That time is now!

Pick: Ohio.State (-27.5)

Wake Forest vs. No. 5 Louisville (-33)

WhenSaturday, 7 p.m. ET (ESPN2)

Wake Forest has been one of the feel-good stories of the year, they won’t feel too good after this game.

Pick: Louisville (-33)

USC vs. No. 4 Washington (-8)

WhenSaturday, 7:30 p.m. ET (FOX)

Huge game for Washington in prime time against a streaking opponent, they will get it done and look good doing it.

Pick: Washington (-8)

No. 2 Michigan (-19.5) vs. Iowa

WhenSaturday, 8 p.m. ET (ABC)

Iowa has not been able to repeat last season, and Michigan is really good.

Pick: Michigan (-19.5)
