After a 5-6 week I now stand at 47-33 on the year against the spread.

No. 25 Virginia Tech vs. Pitt

When: Thursday, 7 p.m. ET (ESPN)

The Line: Virginia Tech (-4.5)

The Hokies are a win away from all but clinching the ACC Coastal division. Pitt’s next two games after this are against Miami and Clemson, so this in all reality is a must win for the Panthers.

Pick: Panthers (+4.5)

No. 2 Michigan vs. Michigan State

WhenSaturday, noon ET (ESPN)

The Line: Michigan (-23.5)

This has been a down year for the Spartans, and even though they are at home, they don’t have enough offense to stay in this game.

Pick: Michigan (-23.5)

No. 22 Navy vs. South Florida

WhenFriday, 7 p.m. ET (ESPN2)

The Line: South Florida (-8)

Navy still gets no respect around the country. For proof look at the point spread of this game. South Florida is ranked 100th against the run, Navy will control the game on the ground and limit the Bulls possessions.

Pick: Navy (+8)

No. 4 Washington vs. No. 17 Utah

When: Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET (Fox Sports 1)

The Line: Washington (-10)

This is the Huskies biggest test to date, a top 25 team on the road. Utah lacks the passing game to beat Washington. Look for the Huskies to stack the box and stop the run against the Utes.

Pick: Washington (-10)

No. 10 West Virginia vs. Oklahoma State

WhenSaturday, noon ET (Fox)

The Line: West Virginia (-4.5)

West Virginia is a Big 12 team that can play defense, they may be the only team in the conference that can play defense. The Mountaineers are just too good on both sides of the ball for Oklahoma State.

Pick: West Virginia (-4.5)

No. 14 Florida vs. Georgia

WhenSaturday, 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS)

The Line: Florida (-7.5)

Florida’s defense will carry the day against a Georgia offense that had trouble moving the ball versus Vanderbilt.

Pick: Florida (7.5)

No. 7 Nebraska vs. No. 11 Wisconsin

WhenSaturday, 7 p.m. ET (ESPN)

The Line: Wisconsin (-9)

The Cornhuskers first big test of the season, Wisconsin has been tested, but come up short. Wisconsin has offensive problems and with the injuries, they have acquired the last few weeks, they now have defensive problems. This game will go down to the wire, which means I am taking the points.

Pick: Nebraska (+9)

No. 15 Auburn vs. Ole Miss

WhenSaturday, 7:15 p.m. ET (SEC Network)

The Line: Auburn (-4)

Bad matchup for the Rebels, they have had trouble stopping the run on defense. On offense last week they had trouble protecting QB Chad Kelly. Auburn, on the other hand, is a hot football team as last week’s blowout of Arkansas will attest.

Pick: Auburn (-4)

No. 3 Clemson vs. No. 12 Florida State

WhenSaturday, 8 p.m. ET (ABC)

The Line: Clemson (-4.5)

Outside of the win against Louisville, Clemson has seemed to play to the level of their competition. Florida State has been inconsistent at times this year. I look for Clemson to show up and win this game, they are the better team.

Pick: Clemson (-4.5)

Other games to watch

No. 5 Louisville (-30.5) vs. Virginia

WhenSaturday, noon ET (ABC/ESPN2)

Louisville is way too talented for the Cavaliers.

Pick: Louisville (-30.5)

Northwestern vs. No. 6 Ohio State (-25.5)

When: Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)

Northwestern has won 3 straight and for awhile will give the Buckeyes some trouble.

Pick: Northwestern (+25.5)
