To anybody out there that’s not having any luck in fantasy this year, I understand. In my primary league with some friends, I am 0-3. The thing is I’ve scored the 2nd most points in the league of 8 people. I just have the most points against by 8/game.  Injuries have played their part, David Johnson was my 1st round pick. I have Greg Olsen riding the bench. Baldwin and Crabtree are questions this week. It’s been a ride.

Daily Fantasy is nice, because each week is a new week. Injuries and a bad start can be forgotten each week as you re-draft a lineup. It’s a nice complement to traditional fantasy, but I can’t imagine it ever totally replacing traditional fantasy. The Draft Party and trading with friends is just too irreplaceable.

Players I Like This Week

Carson Palmer – QB – ARI – $6100

The Cardinals offense hasn’t been able to run the ball since the injury to David Johnson, but passing has been respectable to this point. After throwing 3 interceptions in the first game, Palmer has thrown for 300+ the past 2 games. The Niners defense just gave up a ton of points to the Rams so Palmer is good candidate for a big week.

Jared Goff – QB – LAR – $5600

Feeling Risky? Goff has been Good, Mediocre, Great this season through 3 games and figures to be playing from behind most of the game vs. Dallas. Daily fantasy is all about that one sleeper nobody else picks, and Goff could be that guy this week. Sean McVay’s offense has been rolling making Goff an interesting cheap target.

Leanord Fournette – RB – JAX – $6700

This is a fairly easy target this week. Fournette draws a favorable matchup vs the Jets awful everything. The bell cow back could go for a huge week if Jacksonville’s offense can repeat some semblance of what they did in London.

Joe Mixon – RB – CIN – $5700

Alright so obviously the more expensive backs have more scoring history and a higher floor, but it’s hard to put a good lineup together without guys in Mixon’s price range. New Bengals OC Lazor showed favor towards the rookie back in Green Bay last week. The Browns are a strong matchup for any RB and if Mixon gets the full time lead back duties he is a valuable player.

Deandre Hopkins – WR – HOU – $6400

Hopkins has been accruing targets at a ridiculous rate this season. Will Fuller’s return may steal a few targets, but it should also take some attention off Hopkins. Hopkins is a top talent at the position and against a weak Titans secondary he should haul in quite a few receptions. Watson looks like a respectable QB that Hopkins didn’t have last season. At $6,400 in daily fantasy Hopkins is a steal.

Mohamed Sanu – WR – ATL – $4800

Sanu has posted consecutive weeks of double digit points. He doesn’t have the upside a lot of options do, but his 9-6-6 targets through the first 3 provide a reasonable floor for a low cost option at WR. The Falcons offense is yet again looking like one of the best in the league because of its many options. Sanu splits targets with Julio Jones, Taylor Gabriel and 2 strong RB’s, but seems to produce nonetheless.

Jared Cook – TE – OAK – $3400

Cook this week can save you a few bucks for better options at other positions whilst providing volume and upside. At $3400 you get a player with 1 less target than Travis Kelce this season. Cook has shown to be a rather consistent with 5-6-6 targets through his first 3 games. The Raiders face a strong Broncos defense, which should be cause for some check downs to the TE in this game.
