2016 NFL Draft Top 5 Safeties
1). Jalen Ramsey, S/CB, Florida State
Height: 6-1. Weight: 209. Arm: 33.38.
40 Time: 4.41.
I also rank him as the number one corner in this draft, a few NFL scouts have told me that they think he will be a far better safety than corner in the NFL. I think he will perform well at either position, high character drives his draft stock even higher.
2). Keanu Neal, S, Florida
Height: 6-0. Weight: 211. Arm: 32.75.
40 Time: 4.62.
In the running to be a late first round pick, performed well at the combine. Big, strong, instinctive player, will be a very good NFL player.
3). Su’a Cravens, S/OLB, USC
Height: 6-1. Weight: 226. 40 Time: 4.69
Solid player, could play linebacker in passing situations, an imaginative defensive coordinator could do many different things with him.
4). Vonn Bell, S, Ohio State
Height: 5-11. Weight: 205.
40 Time: 4.66.
Good speed and ball skills, very instinctive. He can play some free safety and nickel cornerback. That versatility could cause his stock to rise.
5). Karl Joseph, S, West Virginia
Height: 5-9. Weight: 205. Arm: 32.13.
40 Time: 4.58.
Without the injury at practice his senior season he would have been a possible first round pick. Joseph was displaying nice coverage skills to go along with being a physical enforcer and good tackler.
