Mixon looks to make an immediate impact

1st Round – Wide Receiver – John Ross – Inc.

It’s so far not-so-good for rookie receiver John Ross. Ross gets an incomplete because we have barely seen him. Despite the fact that the Bengals have brought him along slowly, Ross suffered a knee injury in their preseason finale which will cause him to miss some time.

2nd Round – Running Back – Joe Mixon – A

Mixon looked very impressive throughout the preseason. He has definitely shown that he could be a special player in the NFL.

3rd Round – Defensive End – Jordan Willis – B

Willis has shown some flashes, but as expected he will take some time to develop.

4th Round – Linebacker – Carl Lawson – A

Lawson was the best value pick of the draft for the Bengals. He has shown the ability to convert to linebacker, but is also a very effective pass rusher. Lawson will have an impact in Cincinnati this season.

4th Round – Wide Receiver – Josh Malone – B

Malone has shown some flashes of play making ability. He is a developmental prospect, but the talent is clearly there.

4th Round – Defensive Tackle – Ryan Glasgow – B-

Glasgow looked impressive during the preseason. He can penetrate the offensive line and is very effective against the run.

5th Round – Kicker Jake Elliott – C

Elliott looked pretty good, but failed to win the job. The Bengals did sign him to their practice squad so he still may be their kicker of the future.

5th Round – Center -J.J. Dielman – F

Dielman struggled throughout training camp, was cut and acquired by the Rams.

6th Round  – Jordan Evans – A-

Jordan Evans has been a staff favorite throughout the preseason in Cincinnati. Don’t be surprised if he finds a way to make an impact this season.

6th Round – Brandon Wilson – C

Wilson failed to make the roster, but was picked up on the practice squad. A year of development could make this extremely talented athlete into a contributor in the future.

 7th Round – Mason Schreck – Inc.

Schreck begins his NFL career on IR.
