Are you playing CFL Daily Fantasy Football with Draft Kings? Travis Currah is as devoted to the game as anyone, and he’ll be bringing you his advice weekly here at The Grueling Truth in order to help you prepare for the upcoming week’s slate of games – and to win!
Do I really have to take a break from Pokemon Go? I guess the wife says I have to.
As I finally take a break from filling my Pokedex I realize that I’ve walked over 16 km (10 miles) in the past three days on my quest to catch ‘em all. No wonder my legs killing me!
It’s time to recover and get my lineups ready for Draft Kings this week. Here’s who I like in Week 5:
Quarterback – Trevor Harris (OTT – $11,200). You’re paying a premium to have Harris on your team but it’s pretty hard to deny what he’s done so far his year. He currently owns an 82.5 completion percentage, he’s thrown for nine touchdowns against just one interception and is up against the team giving up the second most offensive yards per game this season. Look for Harris to feast on the Rider defense.
Running Back – Andrew Harris (WPG – $7,600). I guess I’m going Harris squared this week. Harris is second to only John White in touches per game (17) and is up against a banged up Calgary Stampeder defensive line that may also be without starting middle linebacker Taylor Reed. He’s poised for his biggest game of the season.
Wide Receiver – Greg Ellingson (OTT – $8,100). I actually feel like any Ottawa receiver will give you production but Ellingson may have the best value. He’s averaging 8.3 targets per game, leads the CFL in YAC, and has Trevor Harris throwing him the ball. Poor Saskatchewan.
Flex – Brandon Whitaker (TOR – $6,600). Whitaker hasn’t exactly set the world on fire this season but the Argos are giving him every chance to succeed. After a brutal Week 1 when Toronto was able to only muster one rushing yard, they’ve been able to get Whitaker more and more involved. He’s averaging 13 touches a game and actually has more receiving yards than rushing yards. Montreal’s middle linebacker Bear Woods hasn’t been practicing either due to a lower body injury. Whitaker will provide some nice production in Week 5.
WR – Greg Wilson (CGY). With veteran Stampeder receiver Joe West down with an ankle injury, Greg Wilson will step into his place on the roster. Wilson had 20 catches and a touchdown in six games as a rookie last season and will be eager to prove himself against Winnipeg this Thursday.
WR – Thomas Mayo (WPG). Mr. Madden Glitch himself, Ryan Smith, will be out for this week’s game against Calgary so in comes Thomas Mayo. You’ll be able to get him extremely cheap too. Mayo made it onto Winnipeg’s roster in Week 2 when Weston Dressler was out with a head injury. He took advantage by connecting on all five his targets from Drew Willy for 78 yards making him another cheap source of production in Week 5.
Now back to catching ‘em all…
