Things got a lot more interesting this week. The return of Hamilton QB Zach Collaros, Matt Nichols with another strong performance. No doubt the top two teams are Calgary and B.C. This league gets more interesting each week and the return of Collaros adds even more intrigue to this league.
1). Calgary Stampeders (5-1-1)
Bo Levi Mitchell completed 18 of his 31 passes for 298 yards, while Jerome Messam scored Calgary’s lone touchdown as the Stampeders downed the Saskatchewan Roughriders 19-10 Saturday night at Mosaic Stadium. It wasn’t pretty, but the win keeps the Stamps atop the league and sets up another meeting with the Lions.

2). B.C.Lions (5-2)
The Lions survived a frantic second half comeback by the Hamilton TiCats. Lions QB Jonathon Jennings was outstanding again, throwing for 3 Td’s.
Next Up: Host Calgary
3). Ottawa RedBlacks (4-2-1)
A bye week was needed by the Redblacks who haven’t played well as of late. The Alouettes come calling this week and the Redblacks should be ready.
Next Up: Host Montreal Alouettes
4). Winnipeg Blue Bombers (4-4)
Clarence Denmark was unstoppable, while the Bombers picked off Logan Kilgore five times to earn a 34-17 win over the Argos on Friday night at Toronto’s BMO Field. The win was the Bombers third straight and Matt Nichols looked good again. The Bomber defence has been on fire leading the CFL with 21 forced turnovers.
Next Up: BYE
5). Hamilton Tiger Cats (3-4)
With the return of star QB Zach Collaros the Ticats become a contender. Collaros looked rusty in the game, even though he played much better in the second half. The Cats need to get on a hot streak and they will look to start that streak this week as they host the Roughriders.
Next Up: Host Saskatchewan Roughriders
6). Edmonton Eskimos (3-4)
The Eskimos finally played well defensively, but they were playing the Alouettes. To turn this season around the Offensive line and Defense are going to have to be more consistent.
Next Up:@Toronto Argonauts
7). Toronto Argonauts (4-3)
Logan Kilgore threw 5 interceptions in a 34-17 loss to the suddenly streaking Blue Bombers. Once again they played poorly at home and with Ricky Ray out this team looks to be in trouble. They have a better record than a couple of teams ranked ahead of them, but with the way Kilgore is playing I can’t see them any higher than this.
Next Up: Host Edmonton Eskimos
8). Montreal Alouettes (2-5)
The defense played well again, but the season is over if they don’t start scoring points.
Next Up:@Ottawa RedBlacks
9), Saskatchewan Roughriders (1-6)
They played well defensively, but the offence was non existent.
