Rouge, White and Blue: CFL Week 5, Positivity shining through
(write-up by Os Davis)

One of the great things about football fandom is the way results can ripple through a league, changing the narrative. Unless, of course, you’re Rouge White & Blue CFL Podcast hosts Os Davis and/or Joe Pritchard, whose own personal CFL narratives are varying disturbingly little.
See, in week 4 of the 2016 CFL season, the league’s three bottom feeders, the Saskatchewan Roughriders as well as Os’s favored Montreal Alouettes and Joe’s beloved Winnipeg Blue Bombers, continue along the same depressing trajectory they’ve maintained for some time. On top of this, our fantasy football teams again suffered egregious losses.
Nevertheless, you can’t keep these podcasters down: Os and Joe still find plenty that’s fun ‘n’ exciting in CFL football as they run down the week’s results and look forward to week 5. Seriously, how can you not love the way the Ottawa RedBlacks control the ball to let their underrated defense go to work? Who could disparage the wonderful things Mike Reilly and his unstoppable receivers Derel Walker and Adarius Bowman? Who could remain unexcited at the prospect of a BC Lions defense coming together as QB Jonathan Jennings emerges as a future star? In short, who needs fan loyalty?
On episode 35 of the Rouge, White & Blue, we’ve got game wraps and game previews, CFL Pick ‘Em picks and fantasy football chatter. Things may be woeful in a certain couple of CFL cities, but we’re keeping the faith at RWB!
