5 Teams Prepared to make a Playoff Run after the Draft

1) Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Were on the brink of the playoffs at the end of last season and came up short. The Bucs offense was basically just Mike Evans last year and nothing else, that should change this year. The Bucs added DeSean Jackson in free agency and big play tight end O.J. Howard in the draft. Now the question will be can QB Jameis Winston be more consistent and take his game to the next level? The Bucs still have questions at running back and offensive line, not to mention a not so stout pass rush, but this will be a very talented team and could make a run if everything comes together.

2) Tennessee Titans

The Titans just missed the playoffs last year and after a very good draft, they seem to be poised to make at the very least a serious playoff run.

The Titans relied on a bruising ground attack to get it done last year. After the first round selection of the explosive Corey Davis out of Western Michigan, Mariota will now have a receiving threat that can open up the field. With one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, the Titans could be one of the best offensive teams in the entire league.

The Titans made the defense and special teams stronger with the addition of playmaker Adoree Jackson from USC. He makes plays on defense and is an explosive force on special teams. This is a team to watch this year.

3) Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals came crashing back to earth last season after five consecutive playoff appearances. Over the last two years, they have lost several players that will be hard to replace. The offensive line will be the biggest question as they lost Kevin Zeitler and Andrew Whitworth. They did bring back Andre Smith, but as a whole, the offensive line looks to be in trouble. But, if the line can just be decent, the Bengals will be very dangerous. Joe Mixon should come in and start right away, as should WR John Ross. These two players give the Bengals the speed that they haven’t had in the past. Throw in a hopefully healthy A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert and you could have something special in Cincinnati.

4) Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers finally upgraded the offensive line that protects Phillip Rivers as they drafted Forrest Lamp and Dan Feeney. Throw in the fact that they drafted WR Mike Williams and it sure looks like things just might get interesting in Los Angeles this year.

There are questions on defense. I believe the Chargers defense will be improved from last year, Desmond King will step in and upgrade the Chargers secondary immediately which will help to strengthen the overall defense. Overall, it’s hard to predict the Chargers because of a new coach, but he seems to be doing all the right things, so far.

5) Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins addressed their needs on defense in this draft, picking up a brilliant pass rusher in Charles Harris from Missouri, who I think was a steal this far into the first round. Linebacker was strengthened with the addition of Raekwon Miller.

Offensively, the Dolphins should be good again, of course, the problem for the Dolphins is the best they can do is a wild card berth. Hopefully for the Dolphins sake, Belichick and Brady will retire soon, because this Dolphins team looks to be on the rise.
