The Playoff history between these two runs deep, From Bart Starr, Don Meredith, Brett Favre, Craig Morton, Aaron Rodgers and Tony Romo. This series has been known for classic games and controversial calls. Luckily on Sunday afternoon we get to see these two legendary franchises battle once again.

Green Bay Packers- The Packers started the season slow at 4-5, they have not lost since. The Packers secondary has been decimated by injuries, but as always no matter what happens as long as they have Aaron Rodgers they have a chance. The Packers injury troubles have made them resort to using WR Ty Montgomery as a running back, and Montgomery has done an admirable job. The possible loss of star receiver Jordy Nelson with broken ribs for this game could be a death blow to this Packers season. But with the Superman of the NFL Aaron Rodgers they always have a chance.

Dallas Cowboys- The Cowboys have been a huge surprise this season led by rookies Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott. The lives of these two rookies have been made easier because they play behind one of the top offensive lines in the NFL. Don’t forget the Cowboys still have a tough group of receivers led by Dez Bryant and Cole Beasley.

Can the Packers slow down Ezekiel Elliott?- The Packers run defense to me is suspect at best. The Packers have not faced many elite running backs this year, and Elliott killed them in the teams first meeting.

Controlling Aaron Rodgers- Rodgers has been on a tremendous hot streak recently, with Jordy Nelson at best playing with injured ribs the Packers may be able to have some luck here. I see no way to stop Rodgers unless you get a ton of pressure on him. The key for the Cowboys defense will be Sean Lee who will trouble the Packers offense all day.

Prediction

I think Sean Lee of the Cowboys could be the unsung hero of this game along with WR Cole Beasly. Sure Rodgers will get his points, but there is no way the Packers defense can hold up against a team like the Cowboys that is so balanced. Cowboys 34  Packers 27.
