Unlike last weekend’s games, this should be a great matchup. The Steelers have an explosive offense, and the Chiefs have an opportunistic defense. The Chiefs are a bigger threat in the playoffs because they have a more explosive offense, mainly because of Tyreek Hill. The Steelers have the best running back in the NFL in Le’Veon Bell and of course a great QB and WR combo in Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown. This should be a tremendous matchup between two legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

Pittsburgh Steelers- As the Steelers seem always to do they got off to a slow start again this season. And as they always seem to do they were unbeatable after that bad streak, winning their last seven games of the regular season.  The biggest question entering this game will be, is Big Ben healthy? If he is the Steelers will be a handful on offense. On the defensive side of the ball, the Steelers Linebackers are playing at a very high level. The question on defense will be the Steelers secondary which has been a question mark all season long.

Kansas City Chiefs- This might be Coach Andy Reid’s best coaching job. The addition of Tyreek Hill has opened up the Chiefs offense in all sorts of explosive ways, but the Chiefs don’t necessarily need him to score multiple 70-yard touchdowns. They just need him to be a threat that Pittsburgh has to pay attention to downfield, which is something the Chiefs haven’t had in a half-decade. If he is a threat, it will make it that much easier for TE Travis Kelce to operate in the shorter passing game.

Key Matchups

Can the Steelers handle Travis Kelce?- The Steelers have had trouble defending top-flight tight ends all year and Kelce is one of the best in the business. With Hill being the downfield threat that the Chiefs have lacked in the past, it has opened up the middle of the field for Kelce. The Chiefs have to shut down Kelce and make Hill beat them deep. History shows that Alex Smith is more of a guy to manage the game then he is the man to take over and win the game. I think the Steelers have to make the Chiefs beat them deep, remember no matter how good Hill is, he is still inexperienced.

Can the Chiefs slow down Le’Veon bell?- Chances are you are not going to shut Bell down, but the Chiefs need to contain him. This really will be the main key to the game if Ben is not 100% healthy.

Prediction

This is a very tough game to pick, and I think whoever wins the game has a shot to beat the Patriots. The most bothersome stat I have seen going into this game is the stat that shows Ben has in his last four games has 8TD passes and eight interceptions. I think of home Kelce, and Hill will get loose in the Steelers secondary a few times, and the Steelers will have a few untimely turnovers leading to a razor close win for the Chiefs.
