This week on “Irish Football Weekly”, Josh and Tony have a special guest! The special guest this week is Greg Bell. A former running back for the Irish that was a first-round draft pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 1984 NFL draft. He played in the NFL from 1984-1990 and played for the Bills, Rams, and Raiders in his career. Greg gives some great insight about the running backs, Brandon Wimbush, and the offense as a unit. Tony and Greg had a blast talking about the Irish, the NFL, and good old times!
Also, the three guys talk about the atmosphere of the team, and how things can change with just one person. Greg gives some good points about this topic and Tony shares some stories about how the atmosphere helps with the program as a whole. This conversation moves to the defense and how that group has evolved and how the type of system has helped.
Josh and Tony get back into the “Three Toughest Picks” segment and share their picks and records. Both guys have some great insight while making their “Irish Prediction”. Josh ends with a neat stat in “Fun Facts for the Finish”>
