On this week’s Irish Football Weekly show, the “Convicts vs. Catholics” idea was NOT brought up, if you are wondering 😀! The Irish do play the Miami Hurricanes on Veteran’s Day(Happy Veteran’s Day to all serving and that have served for this beautiful country!), which is Saturday, November 11th 8p.m. in Miami, Florida. Notre Dame leads the all-time series and has a current winning streak against “The U”, but does that help this week’s game? Saying this week’s game is HUGE for each program would be an understatement. Two top 10 teams trying to reach the College Football Playoff and two programs trying to get back to their glory days. Has each program already restored that tradition? The smack talking among the fans has begun, which Josh mentions how he had a conversation with a Hurricane fan in a Notre Dame Football Facebook group this week.

Tony gives us some memories of his playing days against the University of Miami and how he sees similarities in this year’s team and the teams he played against. The guys discuss a topic on Miami that maybe perceived now and when Tony played.

Josh and Tony each give some key factors for the Irish to come out of this game victorious. These factors may or may not have to deal with their current success. The one key component to winning this week’s game is….TO HAVE MORE POINTS AT THE END OF THE GAME! Josh literally had fans and listeners write him on Facebook (through our Facebook page, search “Irish Football Weekly”) and tell him that! This is true, that is what is needed to win a game!

In the “Three Toughest Picks” segment, Josh tries to climb back into the race of just being noticed. He and Tony had some really tough games this week as there are several that will be interesting and that will cause some shifting in the polls.

A pretty neat stat in the segment, “Fun Facts for the Finish” this week. What do Brian Kelly, Ara Parshegian, Lou Holtz, and Knute Rockne have in common? Well, tune in to find out!
