Is it June yet? Yes!

It hasn’t been forever since the Ottawa RedBlacks rallied for a stirring Grey Cup win in a championship game that ranks among the best of all-time, it just feels like it. The waiting ends this week as the CFL kicks off its 2017 season; Rouge, White & Blue CFL Podcast co-hosts Os Davis and Joe Pritchard are more than ready.

Joining us on the show this week is our fellow American and CFL fan Ron Montgomery, who hails from Alabama (!), where he’s currently trying to convert folks to the CFL cause. Ron tells us about his fascination for the Canadian game and his nascent CFL Fans In SEC Country group. He also tell us why East Pittsburgh, Tennessee, may actually prove to be a secret hotbed of CFL fandom in American and reveals Saskatchewan Roughriders head coach Chris Jones’s love of cornbread.

And do Os and Joe have predictions for week 1? You bet they do; Os even manages to stun Joe with his pick for the Riders/Montreal Alouettes opener, though not at all surprising to Als fans still feeling the effects of Darien Durant’s Svengali-like performance in his preseason debut for Montreal.
