How fantastic was the 104th Grey Cup? Fantastic enough to get some lip service south of the border on ESPN – and fantastic enough to have Rouge, White & Blue CFL Podcast hosts Os Davis and Joe Pritchard producing another episode of the RWB. (Ah, to be honest, they’d’ve done it anyway.)
So after a gratuitous sampling from The Worldwide Leader in (American) Sports’ “Pardon the Interruption,” the RWB’s own versions of Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon get down to breaking down the events of the Ottawa RedBlacks’ fascinating – though in the year of Cavs/Cubs/Trump, hardly surprising – victory over the previously-believed unsinkable Calgary Stampeders.
Joe, having attended the big game in Toronto, gives us the lowdown on the facilities and event production at the ballyhooed BMO Field. He was also in attendance for much of the pre-game revelry in the days beforehand and thus name-drops a lot of folks from the CFL’s online fan contingents.
Os and Joe also discuss some takeaways from a scintillating ’16 and, because it’s never too soon to start talking next year, mull over a few immediately pressing problems about ’17 in the Canadian Football League.
Frankly, we can’t believe it’s over…
