While Canada’s in the dearth of winter, June (as in “#IsItJuneYet” and another CFL season’s kickoff) seems very far away – though not quite so far this week on the Rouge, White & Blue CFL podcast because, well, the league’s released the 2017 CFL schedule!

Naturally, RWB CFL podcast co-hosts Os Davis and Joe Pritchard start in the immediate future, pointing out some key dates to look out for, while some (like Joe) plan trips to the Great White North to catch a game or two. And at least one of the RWB duo doesn’t like the way free agency season is looming for the defending champion Ottawa RedBlacks.

Into the present, we look at the signings, re-signings, releases and such going on in the CFL and how certain teams’ rosters are shaping up. Lotsa player movement this week involved names like Adarius Bowman, Duron Carter, Quincy McDuffie, Otha Foster, Bryant Turner Jr. and Swayze Waters. Yeah, we got your hot takes.

Finally, it’s back to the past: 1998, to be exact. In the RWB’s quest to fill those weekend hours devoid of CFL programming, we’re checking out past Grey Cups. We’ll just say in short that OS’s man crush on Jeff Garcia is alive and well…
