Nashville: The Commodores were led by Riley LaChance, who had a monster game, scoring 26 points and nailing four out of seven three pointers. Vanderbilt led for all but 21 seconds, when LSU jumped ahead by one point with 2:21 to play in the game. Vanderbilt completely dominated the game from the opening tip to the final horn. The Commodores showed great poise and grit as they got a much-needed SEC win. The Commodores now look to salvage the season and make a run in the closing weeks.
Players of the game:
LSU – Duop Reath (31 points, 13-20 FG, 1-2 3PT, 4-8 FT, 34 min)

With this much-needed win, the Commodores will strive to continue to build momentum as the grind of the SEC starts to separate the men from the boys. With six weeks until St. Louis, Bryce Drew and company still have a lot to prove, but today’s win is definitely a great starting point.

Vanderbilt – 1/23 at Tennessee, 1/27 TCU (Home)
