I want to congratulate LeBron James on passing Michael Jordan for 4th all-time in points at 32,292. It was 23,119 of those that came in a Cavaliers uniform.

Frankly, I write about LeBron a lot.

Last night, I painstakingly turned on the Lakers game to see this moment in history. I’m not saying the Cavs are anything to brag about this year, but man, the Lakers are just a dreadful team to watch, even with LeBron. You can literally feel the L.A. angst with the game on.

And then the moment happened on an and-1 left handed lay in right before the half.

Obviously, I feel the moment would have carried a lot more meaning had it come in a Cleveland jersey at Quicken Loans Arena. I carry a lot of bias and it doesn’t take away from how amazing it is that LeBron passed such a legend.

We were with LeBron through thick and thin throughout the years. Yeah, when he left Cleveland fans were pissed, but that was simply because of how good he was. It showed in the four horrible years the Cavs had without him, plus this current season.

Anyway, some of these LA fans are crazy enough to say Kobe is better than LeBron. The Lakers did lose the game last night, 115-99, but the Nuggets are one of the best teams in the Western Conference.

When we look back on LeBron’s career, of course, we will remember the historic 2016 Championship for the Cavs. I just wish that things could have played out differently after that historic come-from-behind title win.

It is going to be extremely weird for a NBA Playoffs without LeBron in them, but that is what is going to happen this year. True, it’s not like the Cavs are anywhere close, but I was just a little kid the last time that happened way back in 2003 after LBJ’s rookie year.

While I am hard on LeBron, thinking about the fact that he passed Michael and has scored 32.3K points is amazing. The kid from Akron, once just a high schooler with a ton of talent, has accomplished so much in his illustrious career.

I hope he enjoys the achievement.

Next on the list?

Kobe Bryant at 33,643. If all goes well, he should pass that mark sometime near the All-Star Break next season!
