It was a disappointing season for Florida State on the gridiron, but that didn’t stop a couple of Seminoles from excelling in the classroom.
Sophomore tight end Tre’ McKitty and freshman safety Jaiden Woodbey were each named to the All-ACC Academic team on Wednesday. Among ACC teams, only North Carolina had fewer.
McKitty is a criminology major, who made the Dean’s List. Last season, McKitty broke out with 26 catches for 256 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
A Freshman All-American in 2018, the California native Woodbey is currently majoring in international affairs. On the field, Woodbey finished with 58 tackles, 4.5 for loss, one sack and a forced fumble.
