John Cena is the face of World Wrestling Entertainment for well over a decade now. However, the star celebrity figure has been out of the scene for quite some time now.
Cena, who is a 16 time Champion has been missing out on WWE action because of his film commitments. The wait, however, will end and the fans can rejoice as John Cena has confirmed his return to the wrestling ring. The WWE Superstar said that he will make his return in the match being held at the Madison Square Garden.
Cena has been busy with his Hollywood commitments with star actor Jackie Chan. He has been in and out of the WWE RAW scene, with the 34th Wrestlemania where he fought with The Undertaker but was later defeated by the Deadman. He was also involved in a match against Triple H in The Greatest Royal Rumble and a tag team match against Kevin Owens and Elias at the Super Showdown held in Australia.
John Cena updated and announced about this future plans with WWE through his official twitter account in which he wrote “160 days ago I landed in (China) to film w @EyeOfJackieChan today is the final day of that project. An experience I’ll never forget. I’ll have 1 day home then to promote @bumblebeemovie until it’s release 12/21 then, I truly return home @WWE @TheGarden 12/26 #HLR #NeverGiveUp.”
Cena is returning with a brilliant opportunity of celebrating his comeback with a win as wrestling star Roman Reigns is out and his comeback date is pretty much uncertain adding to this the “Big Dog” will miss the 35th edition of Wrestlemania. Cena has to defeat Ric Flair and halt his record of a 17th championship belt. John Cena has also confirmed his return to the RAW in 2019.
